Diane says: "The process of personal development in the visual arts, and I believe any art, is a journey of discovery. That journey is guided by my interests. I am a field naturalist and bird watcher who finds inspiration in the woods where "all" is present. By "all", I mean life and death, peace and chaos, beauty and ugliness, insight and mystery. It is a place to rest and reflect on the old and a place to explore and discover something new. Every artist chooses a subject that speaks to him or her. Nature is mine.
To create an image, I use the tools, techniques and mediums that I have experienced and developed over the years. My aim is to use the elements of design at my disposal to develope artworks that draw people into them and offer a true and lasting connection."
